The Grand Palace was established in 1782, in
the reign of King Rama 1st, Chakree Dynasty.
It is located in Bangkok close to the Chao Praya
River. It covers an area of 218,000 sq. metres.
The
Grand Palace divided into four areas:
- The outer zone,
located of Palace on the north side is where
various government offices are located in
this area.
- The middle zone,
where the beautiful buildings in traditional
style and mixed between Thai and European
style are located in this area.
- The inner zone,
where was the residence of the member of the
royal family and royal attendances and the
beautiful building in traditional style is
located here. Some building is used as a Royal
Guest House for the Chief of State.
